In the Summer term our topic's are 'Help is at Hand', 'Food Glorious Food' and 'What on Earth'. The first topic is finishing our learning about people who help us. In the second topic we will be looking at different types of food and healthy eating. We will finish the year by looking at living things.
We will continue our daily RWInc phonic sessions. For English, we will continue Drawing club, which looks at the ingredients of a story and gives the children the opportunity to use their imagination and come up with ideas for their own stories. We will be encouraging the children to start thinking about writing in sentences where appropriate, and using their phonic knowledge.
In Maths, we will be exploring and ordering numbers up to 20. We will then go on to looking at capacity , shape and time .
In R.E, we be learning about The Ends of The Earth- looking at Jesus retuning to Heaven to be with his Father and how he sent the Holy Spirit to help us. We will then move onto Dialogue and Encounter - exploring other religions and having a festival of faith.
