Mental health advice for parents
We are excited and pleased to announce that Routeways have been selected as a 2017 Amplified Participation Trailblazer!
Amplified is a Young Minds project commissioned and funded by NHS England’s Children and Young People’s Mental Health Programme. A huge number of applications were submitted from different organisations across the country, with only 12 being chosen.
Building on our highly valued service “In other Word’s”, Routeways will be working on a project to improve professionals understanding of the difficulties young people experience when they have mental health issues in addition to autism. We will support young people and their families to create toolkits that can help mental health services be more appropriate and autism friendly. A mental health service that will truly cater for and address the challenges faced by these incredible young people and their families.
We are looking for young people and parents/carers who would like to be involved, either in face to face meetings, via the internet, by telephone or home visits. This can be an ongoing commitment, or a one off, or anything in between, but we really need to hear your voices, to help create your mental health service.
If you are interested in this fabulous opportunity to really make a difference to the way young people with autism are treated by the mental health services, then please contact Rose at Routeways, Devonport Park Activity Centre; Tel: 01752 500496, Mobile: 07920 558 543, E-mail: email@example.com or come along to our next session of Children’s Minds Families Matter, a friendly, supportive participation group for families with experience of young people with mental health issues. Activities for the young people provided. Find us at Devonport Park Activity Centre on Saturday 1st July at 3PM.
