This week...
This week we have been exploring Diwali! We made Diya Lamps.
Daily RWI phonic sessions will continue every day.
We will be exploring different celebrations such as: Diwali, Bonfire Night, Remembrance Day, Thanks Giving, Birthday's and Christmas. We will then turn our attention to Traditional Tales and become immersed in a variety of stories, ending the term with a visit to the Drum Theatre to watch The Elves and the Shoemaker.
In our daily Maths sessions, we will be  continuing to become secure with numbers to 5. We will be sorting and comparing numbers and finding one more and one less. We will then explore time and shape towards the end of the term.
In R.E, we will begin by learning about how Ramadan is a special time of prayer for Muslims. Then we will explore a unit about sacraments. The purpose of this unit is to enable the children to develop their understanding of what a sacrament is. This understanding will be developed through the exploration of what happens during the Sacraments of Baptism, Matrimony and the Eucharist.
